Ambassador Highlight
Meet
Cassidy & Koa
Say hello to Cassidy and Koa - two of our Summer 2021 Gooby Ambassadors.
Today, Cassidy, Koa and Goje are going to share how they discovered Gooby products and why they’re so passionate about them.
Their favorite Gooby harnesses are the escape free harnesses. Goje was the first to find Gooby. She shares that her childhood dog is a teddy bear poodle and had really bad anxiety when it came to going on walks. “Because we had harnesses that were over the head, every single time we would take her out, she’d pull out of them and just start running away,” Goje shares.

Goje became frustrated and searched for a solution. After some research, she found Gooby. She got an Escape Free harness that her dog could step into and “it changed the whole routine of taking her for a walk because she was never anxious because she knew that there was nothing going over her head.” There was also the additional benefit of the harness being escape free as well. “Any single time she pulled, we knew that she was never getting away,” says Goje.

When Goje and Cassidy got Koa, they didn’t want to use any other harness besides Gooby because “this is the only one I trust and I know that no matter what, he won’t come out of it.” Of course, it’s an added benefit that Koa looks adorable in his Gooby harnesses.
Koa lives a very active lifestyle. “We really like taking him on walks, going on hikes, and being active,” Cassidy adds. The three of them moved to Hawaii this year and look forward to taking Koa on all the different hikes and exploring the island together. “It just feels nice knowing that he’s secure and safe in that harness. He won’t be able to escape or run or be in any sort of danger when we’re taking him on walks,” says Cassidy.
A friend of Goje and Cassidy shared a similar struggle in terms of finding a harness their dog actually enjoyed. “One of our friends has a dog that’s an Aussie-Poo and she was saying that it was showing signs of aggression every time she would put on a harness.” Goje asked her friend what type of harness she was using. The friend was using an over-the-head harness and Goje recommended trying a Gooby step-in harness. Their friend got a Gooby harness that day and sent photos to Goje and Cassidy. “He was biting her and now he’s no longer doing that and he’s excited for walks.”

[00:00] Hi I’m Cassidy and this is Koa. And I’m Goje. And our favorite product is the escape free harnesses. And the reason why we found this is that my childhood dog is a little teddy bear poodle, and she has really bad anxiety especially when it comes to starting to go on walks. Because we had harnesses that were over the head and every single time we would take her out she’d pull out of them and just start running away.
[00:25] So I did some research and I found this - you guys - and I found this harness and the escape free one and that she could just put her paws straight into it and it changed the whole routine of taking her for a walk because she was never anxious because she knew that there was nothing going over her head. And that any single time she pulled we knew that she was never getting away and it’s just changed the whole game. So when we got him, I wasn’t going to put him in any other harness besides the Gooby brand because this is the only one I trust and I know that no matter what, he won’t come out of it and it looks cute on him. So this is just, this is our favorite one. And yeah.
[01:04] Yeah and we just love that it feels so safe having him in it. We really like taking him on walks, going on hikes, being active, and we’re moving to Hawaii this year and so we’re excited to take him on a bunch of different hikes and places there and it just feels nice knowing that he’s secure, safe in that harness - that he won’t be able to escape or like run or be in any sort of danger when we’re taking him on walks and things like that.
[01:30] We’ve just had really good experiences with it so far. One of our friends has a dog that’s an Aussie-Poo and she was saying that it was showing signs of aggression every time she would put on the harness. And so I asked her, "Well what type of harness?" and it was an over the head harness. And I said try Gooby, try the step in and she got it that day and was sending me photos. His names is Banks and he’s a really cute little boy. It’s changed the way, she said that he now, he doesn’t, he was biting her and stuff and now he’s no longer doing that and he’s excited for walks.
[02:07] That’s why. It’s affected three dogs so far that this harness has so yeah we love it. Thank you. Thanks.
