1. In general, what is the Mountaineer Jacket?

It is a type of dog apparel designed for outdoor adventures in colder weather conditions.

It is specifically crafted to provide both warmth and protection to your furry companion during activities such as hiking, camping, or any outdoor exploration.

It comes with the following features:

Thick Padded Layers - Provides insulation, water resistance, and wind protection.
Traffic Handle - ""Lift"" your dog out of unexpected situations. Durability is reinforced because it's sewn directly into the middle layer of the jacket.
Dual O-Ring Leash Attachment - No need to put on an extra harness for those short walk, although not recommended if your dog is a strong puller.
Bottom Opening Design - The bottom opening has enough space so it doesn't get in the way of their potty time.
Reflective Linings - Provide high visibility for your pup against oncoming traffics so it stays safe.

2. What materials are used?

The jacket is made of a water-resistant outer layer and lined with a soft fleece material for warmth and comfort.

The inner layer is made of 100% polyester filling.

The outer layer is made of water resistant layer made of 100% nylon.

3. How to put it on?

Follow these steps:
1. Unzip the vest and lay it flat on the ground.
2. Lift your dog's front legs and guide them through the two leg holes of the vest.
3. Bring the vest up and around your dog's back, ensuring that the vest's back portion is properly aligned with your dog's spine.
4. Fasten the zipper or buttons on the vest, making sure it is snug but not too tight on your dog's chest.
5. Adjust the vest's neck and waist areas, ensuring that it fits comfortably and snugly but not too tight.
6. Double-check that the vest is properly aligned and fastened to your dog's body to ensure maximum warmth and comfort.

4. How warm is it?

It is designed to provide insulation to keep your pup warm during colder weather conditions.

While it may offer some protection from light rain and snow due to its water-resistant outer layer, it may not be suitable for heavy rain or extreme weather conditions (i.e. snow and etc.)

5. How to find the right size?

Follow these steps:
1. Measure the widest part of your dog's chest
2. Measure your dog's length from the base of your dog's neck to the base of his tail.
3. Refer to the sizing chart provided by Gooby to determine the appropriate size for your dog's vest.

6. Will it fit large breeds?

Gooby products are primarily designed for toys and small breeds. However, in certain cases, they may also accommodate medium and large pups with chest measurements ranging from 13" to 23".

7. Can it handle rain?

It is not waterproof, but it is water-resistant.

This means that it can resist light rain and water splashes, but it is not designed to be submerged in water or withstand heavy rain or water exposure.

8. Is it suitable for cats?

We've had feedbacks from our community that our stretch fleece works great on their cat but it is important to note that cats have distinct body structures, sizes, and temperaments in comparison to dogs.

For this reason, it is generally advised to opt for apparels specifically designed for cats.

9. Is it good for all day wear?

Yes. It is suitable for extended periods of wear.

However, the ideal duration for wearing the vest may vary depending on your dog's individual needs and preferences.

Important note:

Some dogs may be more sensitive to certain fabrics or styles of clothing.
Monitor your dog closely while they are wearing the apparel.
Remove if you notice any signs of discomfort or irritation.

10. Is it machine washable?

Yes, it is machine washable.

We recommend the following:

using a gentle cycle with mild detergent and cold water.
rinse the harness thoroughly before air drying it.

11. Is it stretchable?

No. It is not stretchable.

12. Does it come with any reflective strips?

Yes, it does come with reflective strips.

These reflective strips are designed to enhance visibility and safety during low-light conditions.

Shipping is free for U.S orders over $75. For any other purchases, shipping will be calculated at checkout.

What is your return policy?

We stand by our products. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may return your order within 30 days of purchase for a refund of the items.

We are currently only able to create labels for U.S. based address.
