Stretchable Knitted Bottom

Made with spandex and soft fleece, fashion vest has a stretchable knitted bottom for better fitting while providing warmth and comfort. The soft fleece is made with 95% polyester and is the same fabric used in making baby ear-warmers and bedsheets. That should tell you how cozy it is. It is widely used in the garment industry, here's why:

1. In general, what is a Fashion Vest?

The vest is designed to enhance your dog's fashion-forward look while also serving practical purposes.

It comes with the following features:

Quilted Bomber Jacket - stylish and versatile outerwear piece that combines classic design with modern flair.
Stretchable knitted bottom - expands to accommodate all dog shapes. (i.e dogs with broad chest)
Pain-free zipper guard - helps prevent your pet's hair from getting caught in the zipper.
Dual D-Rings - providing increased functionality and security.
Step-In design - perfect for your pup especially if they are sensitive or frightened of having a harness pushed over their head.

2. What materials are used?

The vest is a stylish dog vest made from a combination of spandex and soft fleece.

The outer layer is made of 100% Nylon.

The inner layer is lined with a soft and cozy cotton material.

3. How to put it on?

Follow these steps:
1. Unzip the vest and lay it flat on the ground.
2. Lift your dog's front legs and guide them through the two leg holes of the vest.
3. Bring the vest up and around your dog's back, ensuring that the vest's back portion is properly aligned with your dog's spine.
4. Fasten the zipper or buttons on the vest, making sure it is snug but not too tight on your dog's chest.
5. Adjust the vest's neck and waist areas, ensuring that it fits comfortably and snugly but not too tight.
6. Double-check that the vest is properly aligned and fastened to your dog's body to ensure maximum warmth and comfort.

4. How warm is it?

It is designed to provide insulation to keep your pup warm during colder weather conditions.

While it may provide some insulation and help to trap in your dog's body heat, it may not be suitable for extremely cold weather, and may not provide sufficient warmth in temperatures below freezing or during heavy snowfall.

5. How to find the right size?

Follow these steps:
1. Measure the widest part of your dog's chest
2. Measure your dog's length from the base of your dog's neck to the base of his tail.
3. Refer to the sizing chart provided by Gooby to determine the appropriate size for your dog's vest.

6. Will it fit large breeds?

Gooby products are primarily designed for toy and small breeds. However, in certain cases, they may also accommodate medium and large pups with chest measurements ranging from 10.25"" to 20.5"".

7. Can it handle rain?

It is not waterproof, but it is water-resistant.

This means that it can resist light rain and water splashes, but it is not designed to be submerged in water or withstand heavy rain or water exposure.

8. Is it suitable for cats?

We've had feedbacks from our community that our stretch fleece works great on their cat but it is important to note that cats have distinct body structures, sizes, and temperaments in comparison to dogs.

For this reason, it is generally advised to opt for apparels specifically designed for cats.

9. Is it good for all day wear?

Yes. It is suitable for extended periods of wear.

However, the ideal duration for wearing the vest may vary depending on your dog's individual needs and preferences.

Important note:

Some dogs may be more sensitive to certain fabrics or styles of clothing.
Monitor your dog closely while they are wearing the apparel.
Remove if you notice any signs of discomfort or irritation.

10. Is it machine washable?

Yes, it is machine washable.

We recommend the following:

using a gentle cycle with mild detergent and cold water.
rinse the harness thoroughly before air drying it.

11. Is it stretchable?

Yes, the vest is specifically designed with a stretchable bottom to provide a better fit for small dogs with a broad chest.

12. Is it prone to shrinkage?

Yes. It could potentially shrink overtime.

We recommend the following:

using a gentle cycle with mild detergent and cold water.
rinse the harness thoroughly before air drying it.

13. Does it come with any reflective strips?

No. It does not come with any reflective strips.

14. Is it possible to use it as a substitute for a harness?

No. It is not a replacement for a harness.

While the vest may have a D-ring for leash attachment, it is not specifically designed to provide the level of c safety that a harness can offer.

15. How much stretch does the underside of the vest allow for?

We currently do not have a spec sheet on how much stretch it can allow, so we'd have to measure it manually based on how you'd like us to measure.

16. What is the difference between the Fashion Vest and Fashion Vest Check?

The main difference between the Fashion Vest and the Fashion Vest Check is their design.

The Gooby Fashion Vest is a solid-colored vest, while the Gooby Fashion Vest Check has a checkered pattern.

Shipping is free for U.S orders over $75. For any other purchases, shipping will be calculated at checkout.

What is your return policy?

We stand by our products. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may return your order within 30 days of purchase for a refund of the items.

We are currently only able to create labels for U.S. based address.

What is Your Warranty Policy?

Gooby is proud to design and create simple and functional products with quality and durability. Our products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for purchases from goobypet.com or authorized dealers for up to one year from your date of purchase.

Please note that the warranty will not cover:

2. Misuse or improper use of the product

3. Chewing or biting

4. Alterations or modifications to the product
