The item I bought was actually an Alpine Explorer - Raspberry Rose / Small not a Puffer Vest. I was very satisfied with it, very well made.

Great jacket but the sizing is misleading
About a month ago I bought the G21 bomber jacket in a large. It fits perfectly and I love it. I decided to order this puffer vest for when it was too warm to wear the bomber. As the chest sizing for the two vests were almost identical (.25" different), I also ordered this vest in a large. Unfortunately this vest is too tight. I could barely get the zipper closed. Additionally, the purple is no longer available in an XL. So sad. It's a great jacket.

I bought two of these jackets - one for my Maltipoo and one for my Chihuahua mix. Neither jacket fit. My Maltipoo is 5 pounds, 8" neck, 12" chest and 10" length. I purchase the XS for her, and it doesn't even come close to fitting. My Chihuahua mix is 8 pounds, 9" neck, 14" chest, and 12" length. I purchased the a S for her, and again, doesn't even come close to fitting her. However, the small does fit my Maltipoo, so at least I can use one of the two jackets. Unfortunately they are all sold out of size Medium, so I'll have to look for something else for my Chihuahua mix. This jacket would be much better if the underside were made with some sort of fabric that has a little bit of give to it, to provide a little bit of flexibility in the sizing.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your feedback regarding the sizing and we apologize if the Gooby item did not fit your dog as well as you'd like. We do our best to provide accurate sizing guidance. However given the variances in dogs, in measuring, etc., there may be times when the product doesn't fit well even though the chart says it should. Additionally, we do not use global sizing and each Gooby item has its own sizing chart. We apologize for this inconvenience. Given the chest measurement of your Maltipoo which is 12", the Puffer Vest in XS is too small for her since it can only accommodate a chest size of 10.5"; and the closest size for her should be the Small because it can fit a dog with the chest size of 11.75". This also explains why the Small fit her better than the XS. As for your Chihuahua Mix, given her chest size of 14" inches, the Medium should be the appropriate size for her but unfortunately, it's currently out of stock. The estimated restock should be on August of this year. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. If you need further assistance please do let me know. Always happy to help! :)

Runs small
I LOVED this vest sadly I had to return it because it was Too small fr my Boi I couldn't measure my Boi but I went by my many prior Gooby purchases of halters and I also went by the size and weight shown for the doggie modeling the vest. I purchased a size medium should have gone for xlg if they offered that size I don't think that the LG would have fit my Boi who is an18lb chihuahua mix.

It is perfect!!
I had a hard time trying to get a warm jacket for my miniature dachshund. This one was perfect in size, easy and to put on. Everyone that sees him says how adorable he looks! It’s not too “puffy”, just perfect for comfort.
